This has been an unforgettable season on Carstensz Pyramid (Puncak Jaya, 4,884m) — and we are thrilled to celebrate a 100% success rate for our teams! More than 25 climbers reached the summit under the leadership of Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, Founder & CEO of 14 Peaks Expedition, together with our Senior Guide Lakpa Sherpa (Makalu Lakpa) and our highly experienced Sherpa support crew.
Carstensz Pyramid, the highest peak in Oceania and one of the Seven Summits, is known for its demanding technical terrain and remote location deep within Papua, Indonesia. Yet once again, our climbers have proven that passion, preparation, and teamwork make the impossible possible.
This season also highlighted multiple historic achievements — moments that will be remembered forever in mountaineering history.
A proud and emotional moment for the world — Hari Budha Magar continues to break barriers and inspire millions. Carstensz becomes his 6th Seven Summits peak, proving that no dream is too big and no challenge is too great. Supported by Nepalese climbers Mingma Sherpa and Abiral Rai, Hari’s success shines as a beacon of courage for the global disability community.
“Carstensz is one of the most technical climbs among the Seven Summits, but with the help of my incredible team, we made it.” — Hari Budha Magar
One of Nepal’s most loved singer-songwriters, Raju Lama, reached the summit on October 22, 2025, adding another chapter to his inspiring mountaineering journey after his Everest ascent in 2022. From concerts to crampons — what a story!
A historic day for Uruguay! On October 22, 2025, Vanessa Estol proudly reached the summit — making her the first Uruguayan to conquer Carstensz. As CEO of @14peakslatam and a strong international partner of 14 Peaks Expedition, Vanessa continues to inspire new heights in leadership and adventure.
A truly remarkable performance by our Senior Guide! His four successful summits within just 8 days reflect his technical mastery, leadership, and unwavering passion for the mountains.
