Spring 2025 Season Recap – 14 Peaks Expedition

Share Us

The Spring 2025 season has come to a successful close, and 14 Peaks Expedition is proud to share the remarkable journeys, summits, and stories that defined these past few months. From record-breaking ascents to meaningful collaborations and technical achievements, this season was a true celebration of passion, resilience, and the Sherpa legacy in the Himalayas.

8000m Expeditions Overview

Our team supported several major 8000-meter expeditions this spring. On Annapurna, six foreign climbers received permits, with four reaching the summit and two opting not to continue. On Dhaulagiri, our expert Sherpa team led the rope-fixing mission, ensuring a safe and secure route for climbers. Over at Makalu, 11 climbers joined the expedition, with three making it to the summit. The Kanchenjunga expedition saw six participants, all  of them reached the top.

Everest & Lhotse Success

The mighty Mount Everest saw strong participation from two of our teams. Team 1 had 12 members and Team 2 had 13. A total of 15 climbers successfully summited from both teams. On neighboring Lhotse, two climbers stood on the summit, adding to our season’s list of high achievements.

Trekking and Filming Expeditions

Beyond climbing, this season was filled with unique trekking and filming experiences. A group of six medical professionals underwent high-altitude doctor training, focusing on healthcare in extreme conditions. We also had the honor of hosting the CBS 60 Minutes filming team, who trekked to Everest Base Camp with us. During their journey, they interviewed Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, CEO of 14 Peaks Expedition, in Kathmandu, and Mingma Sherpa, Chairman of Seven Summit Treks, in Namche Bazaar.

International Trekking Groups

Several trekking groups joined us this season, including teams from Kotlayar Adventure Clan, Trips for Friends, 14 Peaks LATAM, and True Summit Adventures. Their journeys added vibrancy to our trails and highlighted the global appeal of Himalayan trekking.

Noteworthy Peak Climbs

We also supported numerous peak climbs, one of the most notable being Dushyant Singh Rathore from Bikaner, Rajasthan. Dushyant became the first person from Rajasthan to summit Lobuche Peak. He began with three days of basic mountaineering training in Kathmandu, trekked to Everest Base Camp, and successfully stood on the summit of Lobuche—an inspiring journey of dedication and determination from the young guy.

Historic and National Achievements

Two special summits deserve celebration. Asel Baibagysheva became the first woman from Kyrgyzstan to summit Mount Everest. She reached the top at 9:15 AM on May 11, 2025, creating history for her country and inspiring climbers across the globe.

Meanwhile, Danta Bahadur Chhatyal, an Assistant Sub Inspector in Nepal’s Armed Police Force, became the first officer from the APF to summit Everest, achieving this milestone on May 18, 2025, at 9:20 AM.

A Season to Remember

Spring 2025 has been a season full of courage, achievement, and unity in the mountains. We are incredibly proud of all our climbers, Sherpa teams, medical staff, filmmakers, and trekkers who made this season unforgettable. As we set our sights on the Autumn 2025 season, we remain committed to delivering safe, high-end expedition experiences grounded in our Sherpa roots and the spirit of adventure.

Stay inspired, and thank you for being part of the 14 Peaks Expedition family.
