Shishapangma, standing tall at 8,027 meters, is the 14th highest peak on Earth and the only 8000-meter mountain located entirely within Tibet, China. Just north of Kathmandu, this Himalayan giant is renowned for its relative accessibility and breathtaking beauty.

Also known as Gosaitan in Indian-Nepalese tradition, meaning “The Holy Place,” and Xixapangma in Tibetan, which translates to “The mountain that looks over the grassy plains,” Shishapangma holds deep cultural and spiritual significance.

Famous among high-altitude mountaineers, Shishapangma is considered one of the easiest 8000m peaks to climb, making it an excellent choice for those aiming to progress toward more demanding expeditions like Mount Everest or K2.

Ideal for climbers seeking their first 8000m summit, Shishapangma offers a rewarding experience with stunning views, moderate technical difficulty, and high summit success rates.
