What’s included in your package
Enjoy private airport transfers between Tribhuvan International Airport and your hotel in Kathmandu. The expedition includes four (4) nights' accommodation in a carefully selected 3-star hotel on a twin-sharing, bed and breakfast basis. A welcome dinner before departure and a farewell dinner upon your return are also included with the 14 Peaks Expedition team.
The expedition includes all domestic transportation as per the itinerary, including flights between Kathmandu and Bhadrapur, private jeep transfers between Bhadrapur and Khadenba, and return transportation. All expedition equipment and supplies are transported from Kathmandu to Khadenba by truck and then to Base Camp by porters, with the same logistical support provided for the return journey.
Throughout the expedition, members are provided with comfortable accommodation in hotels, lodges, tea houses, and fully equipped expedition camps. Three freshly prepared meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), including tea and coffee, are served throughout the trek and climbing period. Our experienced expedition cooks prepare nutritious meals specifically designed for high-altitude performance.
The expedition includes the Mount Kangchenjunga Climbing Permit, Restricted Area Permit, all required government documentation, expedition royalty fees, garbage management charges, stool shipment fees, and all necessary administrative processing required for the expedition.
The expedition is supported by an experienced team including a Government Liaison Officer, Base Camp manager, professional cooks, kitchen staff, porters, and logistics personnel. All salaries, accommodation, food, equipment, clothing, and insurance for the Nepalese expedition staff are fully covered throughout the expedition.
Our professionally managed Kangchenjunga Base Camp provides individual expedition tents for each climber together with comfortable foam mattresses, dining tent, kitchen tent, storage tent, toilet facilities, hot shower, tables, chairs, and complete cooking equipment. Solar power systems and a generator provide lighting and charging facilities for essential electronic devices, while warm drinking water is available throughout the expedition.
Every climber is supported by a dedicated 1:1 multiple 8000m summiteer climbing Sherpa from Base Camp to the summit and back. The expedition includes professionally established high camps equipped with expedition tents, cooking facilities, fuel, high-altitude meals, fixed ropes, dynamic ropes, and all necessary group climbing equipment. An experienced rope-fixing team prepares the climbing route before summit attempts.
Each member receives three (3) summit oxygen cylinders, together with one oxygen mask and regulator. Two oxygen cylinders are provided for each climbing Sherpa. Comprehensive medical kits are maintained throughout the expedition, while satellite phones and walkie-talkies provide communication between Base Camp and the mountain. Daily weather forecasts from Meteotest (Switzerland) assist in planning safe summit attempts.
Each member is entitled to 70 kg of personal luggage throughout the expedition. Necessary expedition equipment transportation, Base Camp infrastructure, communication systems, and climbing support are all professionally managed to ensure a safe and efficient expedition.
Upon successfully summiting Mount Kangchenjunga (8,586m), climbers will receive an official Kangchenjunga Summit Certificate issued by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), Nepal.
What is not covered in the itinerary
International airfare to and from Kathmandu. Nepal Entry Visa fee.
Lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu. Additional hotel accommodation due to early arrival, late departure, itinerary changes, or personal requests.
Comprehensive travel insurance covering high-altitude mountaineering, emergency rescue, helicopter evacuation, medical treatment, trip cancellation, interruption, and repatriation is mandatory. A copy of your insurance policy must be provided before your arrival in Nepal.
Telephone calls, internet charges(beyind base camp), battery charging, laundry, personal shopping, alcoholic beverages, bottled water, snacks, and any expenses of a personal nature not specifically listed under "What's Included."
Personal mountaineering clothing, climbing boots, technical climbing equipment, sleeping bag, backpack, personal medical kit, and all personal trekking and climbing gear.
Special filming permits, professional camera permits, drone permits, and any additional government fees related to commercial photography or videography.
Emergency rescue, helicopter evacuation, hospitalization, medication, medical tests, repatriation, and all associated rescue costs not covered by personal insurance.
Summit Bonus: Minimum USD 2,000 for your personal climbing Sherpa upon a successful summit. Expedition Staff Tips: Gratuities for Base Camp staff, kitchen crew, porters, and support staff.
Any services, activities, taxes, or personal expenses not specifically listed under the "What's Included" section, including costs arising from personal itinerary changes or circumstances beyond the control of 14 Peaks Expedition.
